Outside of Work Life

Outside of his work, he oversees the over 100-year-old family wheat farm. Marshall enjoys spending time with his family, reading, traveling, and operating heavy equipment such as tractors, bulldozers, and excavators.

In late 2022, his grandfather, who was currently running the farm at 88 years old, passed away in a traject farming accident. Growing up alongside his grandpa started at a very young age helping him with farming and cattle. It had always brought Gibbs great joy to be outside working and tending the soil, so when given the opportunity to take it over, he didn’t hesitate.

The farm has always been a very special place for him, where he first learned about business and developed his hard work ethic. Agriculture and entrepreneurship have always gone hand-in-hand for Marshall. Simply put, you are creating value out of the soil. Creativity, risk, adaptability, operations, and marketing directly apply to agriculture as well. However, one of the biggest pieces is the legacy to continue and the opportunity to share that with his sons. It provides a vehicle for teaching his children valuable lessons about life, business, and hard work while spending quality time together in the outdoors and on big heavy equipment!

Marshall is married to his best friend and beautiful wife, Robin, and they’re raising two young boys. He’s also particularly proud of summiting Mount Rainier, the most technical mountain in the lower 48 states.
